Blue Horizon
This functional sculptural piece was made as a collaboration between Studio Ayra and Nitya A Aggarwal. Nitya is a budding potter who feels drawn to forms that could exist as both functional pieces and sculptural expressions, inspired by the organic beauty of quiet nature, rocks, trees, birds, the human body, animals, she loves creating ceramic forms that feel organically evolved rather than defined.
The Maker shares:
"The real inspiration for this piece came from coastal rock formations, where years of wind and water slowly carve openings through stone. While watching the horizon, I was drawn to the way the sea and sky blur into one another, creating a sense of calm without boundaries. That memory found its way into this form through the sweeping arch, the soft blue glaze, and the quiet balance between solid clay and open space."
