This functional sculptural piece was made as a collaboration between Studio Ayra and Nitya A Aggarwal. Nitya is a budding potter who feels drawn to forms that could exist as both functional pieces and sculptural expressions, inspired by the organic beauty of quiet nature, rocks, trees, birds, the human body, animals, she loves creating ceramic forms that feel organically evolved rather than defined.

The Maker shares: 

"The form began with an admiration for the fluid movement of a snake but it was the quiet ritual of shedding that stayed with me. I was fascinated by the idea that nature renews itself without haste or spectacle. Organic contours and a weathered finish capture this quiet evolution, while the sculptural opening invites an interplay of mass and negative space. The piece celebrates the idea that transformation often comes quietly, one layer at a time."
