It was too early to prove the potential of this beautiful material to my folks as I was still trying to befriend this complex being. This figure is a feeling I was going through, where I felt bound by the societal norms of a renowned family in a small city. The urge to express myself became stronger when I created this figure, Therefore, the small hole to hold a flower on its head is a metaphor for Hope, hope to be understood one day.

In a snap of a second, our future lay absolutely hollow! We found ourselves locked up because we all wanted to save our lives. Were we even living before the lock down? I realized that we are not the center of this universe, just a particle like the other beings. The lock - down seized human activities and restored nature's.
This art piece is a prayer for all of us to be more compassionate towards our home. Not the concrete ones, the only One we all share.

We are only because She is!
The imbalance caused by us is leading to our own miseries, as it’s our home we destroy. It’s the ignorance that we pay for.
If every one of us starts balancing at our own level, there would be signs of revival one day.
She was created using the technique of slab building, the sheet of clay being as thin as 2-3 mm.
It’s a complete hollow piece that is meant to hold water with some fresh flowers that would make for the Mother’s hair.
The glazes used are all formulated by myself.
The Earth is facing the harsh effects of human activities.
The plant kingdom is covered with layers of particles that are suspended in the air due to various industrial emissions.
The glaciers are covered in black carbon.
The rivers are flowing aggressively due to the same resulting in floods that damage the settlements near the water body.

We need to learn how to coexist with other beings following the rules of nature.

This vase is a representation of the droughts. The droughts that are mainly caused by overgrazing, land clearance, over-exploitation of cultivated and natural lands, and by generally using land in a way that is inappropriate to local conditions. This art piece is a reminder to seize destruction of our only home.

A canteen is a vessel used to carry water by the desert dwellers. The arid desert climate and a scarcity of water and natural resources have always intrigued me by the hardships of a Bedouin 's life. This set of art pieces is a representation of a Bedouin's canteen, which is of much more value than just a bottle of water for all of us.
